Astrid Rozo-Rivera M.D.
Astrid Rozo-Rivera Born in Colombia, Dr. Astrid Rozo-Rivera is a medical surgeon with post-graduate degrees in community and occupational health from Israel, healthcare administration from Colombia and perinatal education from Mexico. Dr. Rozo-Rivera is also a certified health educator specializing in teenage pregnancy and nursing mothers. Her "Encounter with Life" bio-ethic seminars have been presented in schools, universities and youth groups in Mexico, the United States, Colombia and Spain. These value-based seminars bring awareness on the spiritual meaning of biological moments and life decisions. As an abstinence/perinatal educator, counselor and adviser at pregnancy crisis centers, Astrid also contributes to research projects for Kennesaw State University (KSU). Dr. Rozo-Rivera and her husband are state Latino directors of The University of the Famil;y, an international non-profit organization operating in eighty-eight countries. She is also founder and director of ABBA, School of Mothers. Her most important project, however, is being a wife and mother of three younhg daughters. The family currently resides in Kennesaw, Georgia.
